Our Staff

Na'im Bashir - Founder

Coach Na'im has worked as a Personal trainer a year shy of a decade. He first obtained his certifications during his sophomore year in college and after spells working in various gyms including Fitness4Less and 24 Hour Fitness - he transitioned into the Sports Specific field. Prior to starting Identity Hybrid, he has worked as an independent trainer, Physical Education teacher, Director of Sporting Operations for local recreational programs and was offered the Fitness Manager position at 24 Hour Fitness aged 20.  Since then he has trained hundreds of athletes around the world from Track & Field, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Body Building and ultimately, Soccer.

Na'im played locally for Bowie Soccer and Freestate; both of which are now known as Maryland Rush & Maryland United respectively. Collegiate, Na'im played Division 3 Soccer for Mount Aloysius in Cresson, PA.  Post his second season, Na'im opted to go overseas to pursue a professional career and played in spurts in Finland and Sweden before eventually finding a Non-League club in London, England. During his time there, he received interest from clubs such as Reading, QPR, Forest Green Rovers, Huddersfield FC, Crawley Town and interest from other European countries. Unable to obtain a work permit during the conclusion of the season to sign for Reading, Na'im returned in the summer where he would suffer an ankle injury that would keep him out 6 months prior to an attempt to sign with Huddersfield.

Zack 'Ziggy' Ahmanson - Lead Trainer

Avid Liverpool supporter by day, dead ball specialist by night. When it comes to the technicality of set pieces in any variety, there aren’t many in the DMV area who are able to ping a ball like coach Zachary. Dubbed ‘Ziggy’ due to the fire-hot combination of playing style and intense technical drills he puts together, Coach ‘Ziggy’ remains a respected presence in the Columbia/Baltimore communities amongst his peers.

A product of the Thunder Soccer club, ‘Ziggy’ went on to play for Howard Community College before pursuing a career in the culinary field. Between spicing things up in the kitchen, he continues to add the same spice on the pitch playing for semi-pro soccer for World Class Premiere Elite in Baltimore, Maryland. Zach continues to believe in the foundation of youth soccer and the next generation being paramount to the success in future tournaments at the national level and believes he can change the USA Soccer standard by spicing up one drill at a time.

He is currently finishing up his International Sports Science Association 'Elite Trainer' certification to add onto his coaching badges.
